The dynamics of sound

Heir to the Chorus 706V, which received a Diapason d'Or award, the Chorus 706 has a natural, seamless sound stage with admirable spatialisation. Sound from this speaker creates a musical ambience that is fresh, upbeat and very pleasant all at the same time. With the Chorus 706, no sound is monotonous, no melody is dull. The bass is controlled and the mid-range is full of life to create a precise, dense stereo image worthy of a concert hall. The highs are sweet thanks to the TNV2 tweeter's new Poron suspension system. Lastly, its thick, non-parallel walls eliminate parasite noise, creating a pure sound, a 100% Focal sound. Excellent value for money.

I purchased this product from Ace Acoustics & Audio Video Solutions Pvt Ltd, Kolkata last February 2015. Whan I visit the store they play the speaker with Maratz PM 5004 I was surprised with it's amazing sound quality and had take the decision and purchase the same with amplifier PM 5004. But after installing the same to my room I didn't get the effect as I heard in store even 50%. I contact the store they replied will get the sound quality after burning the speaker. But after playing 300 hour I still not happy with is sound quality. Plz suggest me what should I do?

Dear Soumyajit,

The first reason is that 50% of the sound result and musicality is due to the acoustic qualities of the listening room. Usually in a shop or an auditorium the acoustic is very damped and in these conditions the sound is better than in 95% of domestic rooms.
All loudspeakers need to be burned because when the drivers are new the suspensions are very rigid. The front and rear suspensions need to be burned until the driver reaches its definitive resonance frequency.

Regarding some bookshelf speakers such as the Chorus 705 driven by a 40-W amplifier, it can take about 3 months for a complete burning.

Very pleased with these speakers. I feel like I'm listening to some of my CDs for the first time. I'm hearing elements of the music I've never heard before.
