I purchased two of these speakers more than 30 years ago, of that I am certain, at Sound by Singer, in New York NY. At the time they were on East 16th St., and moved years later to West 27th St. where they occupy an upper floor.
At the time, I purchased an amplifier, a high-end cassette deck, and a Thorens turntable. Twenty-nine years ago, I traded in the Thorens turntable for a Rega 2 turntable.
The cassette deck was long ago discarded.
The turntable, amplifier and speakers remain. I write this because, though I've been chided for keeping such large speakers in a rather small NYC apartment, when I could downsize to much smaller speakers with optimal sound, these Focal speakers sound as good as when they were new, and what would I do with the space they continue to occupy?
I am now able to listen to my Music Library on Apple devices, using AirPlay and my wifi network with a Belkin Soundform Connect device (replacing a Wadia transport dock that recently died...).
I couldn't be more pleased with my Focal Chorus 807 V speakers!
I’ve owned these speakers for at least ten years. They are in perfect working order and function every bit as well as when they were new. I’ve switched them to my rear surround speakers where they provide substantial surround sound. In stereo, these speakers output a good deal of bass - the kids and highs are classic Focal - beautiful.
Great bookshelf speakers - perfect on 2.1 and 5.1 setup!
NUMBER 1 with quality
These speakers pack a serious punch for their size and a seem to be really well made.
They haven't broken in yet but out of the box they are amazing bookshelf speakers!
Beautiful finish and fantastic tweeter!
They have a amazing sound stage and quality sound..But still looking for the best tube amplifier to match with..
The Chorus 807V replaced tower speakers costing significantly more money. The sound quality is simply stunning. The resolution on Blu-ray audio discs is amazing. The build quality and appearance is first rate. In short the price vs. performance ratio is unbeatable! Highly recommended!!
Excellent, Very Well Balanced, Articulate, with a large Soundstage
