When material becomes light



The Diva Utopia Natural Sand tells the story of a material that captures the light, like a mineral landscape in the sun. Its finely textured surface is reminiscent of sand which a breath of wind has shaped, revealing a visual softness that is almost tactile.

A unique grain, born of nature

This creation is based on a subtle blend of plant polymers, sand and sunflower oil, enriched with mineral quartz and natural pigments worked by a materials and colour specialist. The result is a fine-grained material whose visual softness contrasts with the depth of the micro-reliefs. The light base delicately reveals the sand effect, so that each side panel expresses itself differently: no two panels reflect light in the same way.

A metamorphosis guided by craftsmanship

Then, craftsmanship comes into play. The material is applied to the wooden side panels by hand, in successive layers, with an expertise that is expressed in every movement, every repetition. It is the human eye, understanding of the material and ability to feel the thickness and consistency of the surface which give the side panels their identity. It is applied with a spatula and knife; then gradual sanding and an environmentally friendly varnish enhance the work, revealing a continuous, harmonious surface.

At this level of expectation, the work is all about fine craftsmanship: meticulous, patient and deeply human.
