With SM9 loudspeakers as his working tool, Wax Tailor enjoys real "listening comfort" and can go "that little bit further" in his work, allowing him to work serenely on his albums in the studio, from initialization through mixing to finalization. The SM9 is the benchmark 3-way monitor, a concentrate of Focal Professional technologies and innovations.

The pure Beryllium inverted dome tweeter delivers a perfectly linear frequency response and extremely fine, detailed treble reproduction.

The 6.5" woofer with "W" composite sandwich cone ensures perfect neutrality thanks to controlled rigidity, lightness and damping.

The 8" loudspeaker, combined with the "W" passive radiator, delivers perfectly accurate reproduction of the lowest frequencies.

Wax Tailor invites us into his studio in Vernon, France. The artist talks about his relationship with the stage. On the one hand, a solitary dimension where you isolate yourself to produce the music; on the other, the live aspect where you are in communion with the audience, reinventing yourself and sublimating the music. For Wax Tailor, the studio has to be designed around what we do. He also talks about his relationship with listening, and the cohabitation of different sounds where it's no longer the intrinsic quality of a sound that predominates, but the way it's arranged between them. His studio, equipped with Focal products, gives him incomparable listening comfort, with no unpleasant surprises.
