Reveal the intensity of every moment
Celestee combines modern design, luxurious finishes and impressive sound performance. Their exclusive Focal speaker drivers guarantee excellent dynamics and high precision sound. The earcups have undergone acoustic treatment to restrict resonance and achieve uncompromising audio quality: the sound is clean, precise and with good bass extension.
Another standout feature of Celestee is its unique Navy Blue and timeless Soft Copper colourway.
The headphones are further enhanced with the use of high quality materials and crafted with the semi-aniline leather on the earpads, headband and earcups. Celestee’s design is a masterclass in Focal’s craftsmanship.
The aluminium yoke has controlled geometry to mould perfectly to the head while providing excellent grip and even greater comfort.
Celestee reveals the intensity of every listening moment, whether at home or on the go.
The earcups are covered in leather and overlaid with a stainless steel grille. The headband combines leather on the outside with microfiber on the inside whilst the earpads are in semi-aniline leather. The high-quality materials are a key feature of the product’s design, aesthetics and comfort.
Navy Blue is a modern, timeless and sophisticated choice for Celestee. It is the first time this blue has made an appearance in the Focal collection. It blends harmoniously with the Soft Copper finish found on the rings of the earcups, internal grilles, logo and cable connections.
Celestee comes with:
Celestee are closed-back circum-aural headphones that include 40mm aluminium/magnesium electrodynamic full-range speaker drivers. These deliver exceptional dynamics and a linear frequency response that extends to 23 kHz. The sound reproduction is incredibly precise. The ‘M’-shaped inverted dome speaker drivers and their larger emissive surface area vastly increases listening clarity.
Designed for use at home and on the go, Celestee are the ideal headphones for using around the house or when out and about. Their low impedance (35 Ohms) ensures uncompromising sound when used with a portable audio player. The semi-aniline leather earpads combined with the design of the earcups are big contributors to both the comfort and soundproofing of the headphones.

Honestly, this has become one of my favorite headphones. Audibly and Visually this headphone is a marvel, the dynamics and imaging are phenomenal, it definitely lacks in the Soundstage department, but as someone who has chased the best for every category I think this Headphone hits most of my needs, that being Play Music and Play games (competitively). If you are looking for a tonally balanced all-rounder closed back this might be it.
Wonderful closed back audiophile headphone,
punchy and detailed sound separation, wide stage for a closed back... thanks Focal
Focal Celestee, I just love these pair of headphones. The quality and the sound are exellent to me. And they look fantastic too.
The Focal Celestee are my first high end, over-the-ear headphones and they are truly satisfying both sonically as well as build quality. I am running them through an iF1 Zen DAC V2, connected to my iMac. The soundstage, separation and sonic clarity are excellent. Though they are still breaking in, I am very pleased with the Celestee sound signature. They are a great addition to my home office audio system. Highly recommended!
not disappointing. cord is a little short
Very good closed back headphones with a luxurious build
The headphone build is very nice and the sound quality is great.
As would be expected for headphones of this price, the sound, build quality, packaging and look'n'feel are all exceptional. No complaints. However, I am BITTERLY disappointed in the length (not the quality) of the supplied cable. It is simply unacceptably short and is unusable for normal home listening unless your source is right beside where you intend to sit. The problem is exacerbated by the fact that the cable is (correctly) inserted into each headphone and so 1.2m is the distance from your source to your ear farthest away from the source. BITTERLY disappointed. And yes, I know I can buy an extension or a Focal 3m cable but please give us this choice at time of purchase where I'll pay an incremental price NOT the price for a 1.2m cable (that is useless to me) AND another maybe £130 or so for a 3m cable (that I'll use all the time). Five stars for the headphones. Two stars for the cable.
Very good
I finally found the sound that I had been looking for.
I can spend my commute by train comfortably.
Amazing!
Out of the world feeling for my ears!!!
Impressed by the Celestee. Great purchase.
These cans are absolutely exceptional. But they take a little while to truly shine. I think Focal's assessment that they need 24 hours burn-in is optimistic... It'll take more like 50 to 100 hours to fully stretch.
But once there, they're a sonic splendor. I've read many reviews that stated they lack this or that (interchangeably highs, lows, or anything in between). I disagree.
They have a authoritative low end, they slam and they rumble, and yet the level of details is stupefying, without ever sounding sibilant or etched or harsh. Midrange loves voices and instruments, and I don't find it recessed in the least. They are uber clear and so lush to listen to. Very addictive.
For their price, it's a no brainer. I've had more expensive cans, none would hold a candle to the Celestee.
A masterpiece.
I've been wanting to upgrade my headphones from my great Focal Elegia, and saw (new) set of Focal Celestee at a great price, so bought them. Having now done a side by side comparison between both sets of headphones with the same audio hardware, volume settings & my FLAC songs, I have to admit that I am very, very pleased with the Celestee, given the price. I will now pass my Elegia over to my wife, as this will be a step up from her Bose headphones.
Very, very nice quality materials used. I like the sound. Great looking and comfortable.
Celestee headphones Built quality is Focal trade. Sound still running in period but signs are good.
Absolutely fabulous product would define buy more of focals products.
Great sound from Focal
The headphone very nice and sound quality is great.
I love these headphones. Great sound quality, super great build. The color goes great. Only thing is the cable, they are stiff and does retain memory, but its nothing on the long run. These get loud, and also cancels everything out from the outside. I use them with my ifi Go Blu
Great sound, high quality built. Very impressed.
Excellent headphones! Best I have ever had.
My daily driver.
I wasn't very impressed with it at first but it grew on me. After I gave it some time to burn in, it's been great. I would like the sound stage to be slightly more wider and a little less shouty in some of frequencies in the mid range but other than that, I've grown to love it, especially for vocal and classical tracks.
Comfy enough pads, gets a tad hot from time to time.
In terms of looks - this has to be the most beautiful headphones ever built.
Looks like a piece of art. Well done on that!
Id been considering a pair of the Celestee for a while and took full advantage of a good exchange rate when traveling to the US in early 2022...
Wow, they have yet to disappoint and as with any good HiFi product, get better with sustained use!
I call these my smile makers :)
Very good headphones
Unbelievably natural. Controlled lows. Just a LITTLE light on upper bass / low mids, and very natural and smooth mids through highs. Good isolation too.
I've owned many headphones in my life, these are far the very best intimate sound, crystal clear and all day comfort.
They look like a million dollars and feel like premium headphones, which they are.
These are near perfect closed back headphones. The only con is the one very short cable that comes with it, and its only a 6.5mm headphone port.
The one and only downside I could find was the cable, its too short, too stiff, and limiting you to only one way to hook it up via the 6.5mm port.
5 stars if they added more cabes/options or adapters to hook up with.
Clean with just enough bass. Not bloated bass. Not very spacious, but very detailed. I do not mind that, actually quite enjoy it. It is a closed back after all. If you want more soundstage, sound this good, and be a closed back, then get the Stellia. I listen to a lot of jazz, dirty blues, post rock, math rock, and some edm music. Does amazing on all of those. Cant go wrong with buying these.
A happy owner of the Elear and Elegia, the Celestee doesn't disapoint. This will be my new Closeback headphones i go to, when I listen music late at night
I never thought a closed-back headphone could sound and feel so "open". I was in between the Celestee and the Hifiman Ananda, but the Celestee convinced me with all genres of music. Even with classical recordings (Sol Gabetta, Schumann Cello concerto) the Celestee sounded more like the real thing.
For a price below 1000 € this is a no-brainer.
Just opened my box and started listening with them. They sound amazing just right off the box as well!! Such a beautiful pair of headphones :)
It's like rediscovering everything I love about every track I've listened to since unboxing these!
My only complaint...I wish I had purchased these sooner.
Good
I am absolutely in love with these headphones. From the sound quality to the build quality to the aesthetics. Everything about them has me always eager to reach for them.
They are beautiful...
Beautiful is not really a word I'd associate with headphones but these are just that. Luxurious and incredible build quality with just the right amount of clamp on my average sized head. Sound insulation is almost as good as a pair of dedicated noise cancelling headphones but perhaps it's because they are such a good fit. Sound quality, even after a short period is way beyond anything I have experienced before. I'm not a full-on audiophile but appreciate good to high end sound & vision. Anyone thinking of spending this sort of money for a closed back headphone can do little wrong than the Celestee.
After looking at many reviews I decided to purchase my first pair of audiophile quality headphones. I can only say that the Celestee live up to all the reviews I have read both in sound and looks; a great product.
Purchased these headphones to use in my office. I already have a pair of Sennheiser HD650s that I really enjoy, but the sound leakage can be problematic, at times. Anyway, I'm 58 and my hearing isn't as good as it once was, and I'm never really considered myself an audiophile, but these are really, really nice headphones. Only used them a few hours but I suspect they will only improve after broken in. The bottom line is I highly recommend them to anyone looking to purchase quality headphones, but I will give to "slightly" negative comments. First, on my head they seem a little tight. Not so much as to cause a headache, but the clamping force is slightly greater on these compared to the HD650s. I realize this my be subjective, since head-sizes vary. I fully expect them to feel more comfortable, over time. At first, the 650s seems a little tight. Also, there are just a little heavy. I'm sure that's a result of Focal using quality materials, but just be aware. I'm not sure what your listening sessions will be like, but it is common for me to wear headphones 6 to 7 hours daily while at work. I am slightly concerned the weigh "may" make wearing them that long a little uncomfortable. Then again, I suspect I neck muscles will get used to the extra weight.
I've been hifi enthuastic for nearly 62 years and I must say that Focal Celestee headphones is the best I have listened so far. The sound is very well balanced. Bass and discant is exact and clear. I had no problem with the headphones after two hours listening session. Not to mention that Celestee headphones are very handsome to look at. I can recommend Celestee headphones to everyone who's looking for something better at a reasonable price.
I admit that 990 euros isn't cheap but considering what you'll get for that price, it's very well worth while.

Best headphones I have owned
I bought the Elegia Headphone for my son and the Celestee for myself. Both headphones are beautifully crafted closed back headphones, love the fit and the a nice clear a sound. I especially like how the Celestee is able to give you that nice deep sounding bass in a nice crisp way, without bleeding into the mid section. Just great clear overall sound, highly recommend.
Because I have a big head
The head bend is quite tight
Difficult to use for a long time
A very well balanced set of headphones. I auditioned these on the Naim Unity Atom Headphone Edition - what a great pairing. The Celestee also works well with an iPhone - and McIntosh C2200 preamp - very versatile.
I enjoyed the Focal video which described the Celestee.
Thank you for making this great sounding pair of headphones. Very happy with my purchase.
I’m a lifelong musicophile (there are photos of me at three years old with my Fisher Price Turntable in the laundry hamper where I apparently claimed it sounded better) and an audiophile of about 7 years. I’ve just recently gotten into the higher-end headphone game as I spend 2-3 hours a night completing paperwork from seeing the days patients. I needed to not bother my family with my music and was looking for closed-back cans. I tried a brand new closed-back planar magnetic that just wasn’t right for me. I sent them back and decided to give the Celestees a try. Well….these ain’t going back. I do like the airiness and openness of my open-back planars, but these are the new favorites. Kudos to the engineers that designed the Celestee. They perform well with all genres and I highly recommend them.
Good
real sound
So far, amazing. Love the sound. As a musician, these cans make me fall in love with music all over again. Thank you!
GOOD SOUND QUALITY
Everything sounds perfect, neutral, balanced (slightly forward), dynamic and intimate - Gorgeous Focal Sound Signature Pleasure to listen to all genre of music, especially Jazz, Classical, Vocal.
Love the matte navy and rose copper color of the Celestee - The designer has made the right color choice. What's more is the headphone is fabriqué en France, which is what I always wanted!
For a fraction of the price of Stellia you could have very similar sounding and looking headphone (I might add that the color is more gorgeous with the Celestee), it is definitely a bargain!
Brilliant headphone, with a clear sound.
Love this headphone, nice design, Sound great. But one thing I hope the Focal Celestee would be more lightweight. By the way This is great!
Best closed back I’ve experienced.
Amazing. I've been searching for the right closed back and this nails every ask I had.
Beautiful headphones and really fun sound signature.
The sound is incredible, one of the best closed back headphones I’ve ever tried!
Superb tuning, well-defined imaging, punchy/impactful bass, these headphones are excellent. They are a fun listen. And they are gorgeous. Best looking headphones I've ever seen.
Absolutely stunning sound. Crystal clear detail; wide soundstage; bass with presence but not overpowering.
The closed-back design makes these ideal for listening on the go and in places where you don't want the world to intrude in on you (or your music on your surroundings). And these are powered with ease even by my portable A&K S25 DAP (though I expect them to shine even more via a headphone amp.
The Celestee is also ultra-comfortable and beautifully designed and comes with a sturdy, attractive carrying case.
I couldn't be happier with these, and can only imagine how beautiful they'll sound after hours of play.
The headphones feel comfortable, isolate well from external sounds, reproduce the sound in a natural, exact, and sonorous manner.
